The Young Men 2000
June 25 - 28

The 4th Annual Young Men's Fishing Trip was a very memorable year. Luke and Jeff stayed for 3 full days while Randy and I took advantage of the July 4th holiday weekend and stayed just over a week. We got briefly pounded with pea-sized hail on our first full day, the power went out for over 14 hours, lightening blew out the modem in my computer ... and Team Ammo remained undefeated in the fishing competition. But perhaps the most memorable event (depending on whose perspective you take) was Randy catching Sir Walter ... within an hour of Jeff and Luke's departure!

All four of the fish below were caught at the same place ... "Twin Towers" (see marker "K" on map).

Randy and Sir Walter (72", 180 lbs and 30-1/4", 10 lbs, respectively). We practice CPR (catch, photo, release). Sir Walter was let go after taking this picture. Randy stayed. ;-)

Jeff with a nice walleye. Notice the "grip of death" he's got on that fish!

Luke with a nice muskie still in the water. Unfortunately it broke the line just after this picture was taken but we estimated it to be 36" - 40".

I caught this 32-inch muskie just minutes before Luke's catch. At least I can land my fish!
